Are you firkin kidding me Dan Gibert?

I can’t imagine you are reading this and don’t know about the letter Gilbert wrote to Cavalier fans after Lebron announced he would be going to Miami so I won’t go over that.  But I want to mention my thoughts about how it went down.

I went from not caring who Lebron played with, being annoyed at the coverage, losing respect for Lebron, and finally shock at Dan Gilbert and understanding from Lebron.  Dan Gilbert comes off like a jilted lover on The Bachelor. You thought everything was fine but when wronged the gloves come off, all in Comic Sans font and punctuation worse than mine. Heck, it was so sad that many questioned if it was a real letter or a hack.

At the beginning of the letter I understood Gilbert’s rage but as it went on I knew the guy had just lost it.  It just sounds like a messy divorce.

“He has gotten a free pass,” Gilbert said. “People have covered up for (James) for way too long. Tonight we saw who he really is.”

“I want you, I want you! Oh, you’re leaving meee?  I never wanted you. You’re pathetic….please come back.” In the letter Dan Gilbert points out places where he think Lebron tanked playoff games.  Then why do you want him?  Especially if you think you can win a championship without him, why not dump his ass on July 1st and sign someone else?

Maybe this is why Lebron left. What I do know is that I wouldn’t want to work for someone so crazy.  Rarely does someone write something without some kind of editing. What’s the chances that this was a toned down version of what Gilbert really wanted to say?

We’ve all had that friend that got out of a “perfect” relationship and wondered why.  Then we saw what was going on and understood.  That’s what I get from Dan Gilbert’s letter. Maybe Dan Gilbert should check out a book written by another Dan Gilbert, “Stumbling Upon Happiness.”

A few months ago I heard of a scenario that put Lebron and Wade, and possibly another star, in New York. They would have to make less than the max which is rare and it’s why I didn’t believe it could happen.  I thought it would be great and a fine example to the youth that money isn’t everything, though they make boatloads still, and it is about team and winning.

Lebron is doing what most of want to and should do.  Work at what we enjoy doing and do it with people we like. I hope Lebron has fun and that Cleveland fans can get past it.

Gilbert Arenas is under investigation by local and federal authorities after admitting that he had brought weapons into the locker room. Weapons that he did not have a license to own.

What do you do when you see a cop on the highway with a radar gun?  You check your speed.  Gilbert Arenas should have checked himself as soon as the gun incident became news but he didn’t. Rotoworld wrote the following about Gilbert Arenas’ Twitter account where he was writing odd stuff for someone who had met with authorities and should be trying to keep a low profile.

Gilbert Arenas, who is at the center of a police and NBA investigation regarding the allegation that him and Javaris Crittenton pulled guns on each another, has been tweeting about everything from Peter Vescey’s article about him, addressing rumors about Shaquille O’Neal and his fiance’, to making jokes of questionable taste.

We’ll let you be the judge of what types of lines he may or may not have crossed, but we’re pretty sure David Stern wants this problem to get smaller, not bigger. By drawing attention to himself at this time, he is increasing his chances of a suspension significantly, much to his owners’ chagrin. Additionally, he really needs to hire someone to edit his work

So what did Gilbert Arenas do last night?  In the pre-game warmups Arenas, with the team surrounding him, pointed two fingers as if they were guns and everyone fell back according to the Marc Stein in the video below.  Say what you will about freedom of speech but the NBA is about image and that is not the haphazard, thoughtless image that Stern wants to portray.

“Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game. Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA.”  – NBA commissioner David Stern

Good job Arenas, you are Dumbelievable.

The dumbelievable part could easily be any of the punches, kicks, and tackles. It could be the fact that she would be doing that stuff with zero emotion on her face much less any regret. The dumbelievable part is that she did not get a yellow card until the 77th minute. Where were the refs. Some of the plays were with the ball. Like the kick of the ball directly at the face of the victim in this story.

Besides the always hollow apology which comes after the fact and after numerous infractions committed, the refs should be ashamed for not catching any of those offenses. You know the victim was complaining to the refs. The coach had to know. Those refs should be suspended as well as Lambert has already.

Is that Wolverine??  No, it’s Pau Gasol looking like a werewolf.

I find Pau Gasol to be…interesting.  He seems soft.  He weighs less than Lebron but is 7 feet tall.  He is whiny, which seems to be the norm for international players (see Manu Ginobli).

Pau gets the weirdest looks on his face.  He looks like he is playing hard but maybe it’s fear.  Being “soft” was an accusation leveled on the Lakers, and specifically Gasol, after they lost in the finals last year.

This is nothing specifically new but I was watching Memphis which has the lesser known Gasol brother Marc.  This family doesn’t believe in anything than the werewolf look.

Isn’t there usually one that has style?  Not in this case.  And they are both huge whiners and hackers.

Coleman issued an apology. Nothing better than apologizing for something the next day AFTER you realize your actions was caught on tape. Coleman did not turn around after he “stepped on something” which tells me he knew what he was stepping on. If he thought he was being tripped he would have turned around. If he does truly love the game and respect others he would have looked and apologized then.

I love when dumbelievable actions get caught on tape so there is less chance of revisionist history. And the reason I say less is because of Blagojavich where recently he is comparing himself to Ghandi.

I love Mixed Martial Arts and this is beyond stupid. But only slighty stupider than alpine skiing and shooting which is known as the biathalon in the Olympics.

This will soon be my new city league. No blood, no foul.
